(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home2/releaseyoganj/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114Teaching yoga is my way to give back to others and share the wonderful benefits this ancient practice has given me on and off the mat. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I found yoga to be my safe space. The combination of my own cancer journey and yoga practice have allowed me to become more open and vulnerable to myself and my students, giving me so much strength and courage. Yoga helps you to be your authentic self without judgement of what others think. I remind my students that yoga looks different on every body and the BEST yoga for YOU depends entirely on what your body and mind need at any given moment. Yoga always meets us where we are. Everyone comes to their yoga mat with own stories. We are all more than one thing and learning to create that balance is key.
\nI approach my yoga classes with an open heart, an infectious smile and an unwavering compassion for my students and their individual needs. As a life learner, I continue to learn about yoga philosophy and weave these threads into my teaching. I emphasize the relationship between breath and movement through creative sequencing. I try to create a safe and nurturing environment where one can let go, even for a few moments. Over these last few years, I have learned that it is not how many times we stumble, but how we can get back even stronger that matters.
\nI am so thankful for all the people who have helped me along my journey and continue to inspire and share their knowledge with me. I received my 200 and 300 hour teacher certification at JulukaYoga with Mandy Grant and have been sharing the teachings of this wonderful practice ever since. As a volunteer teacher with Kula for Karma, I was given the opportunity to share the mat with some amazing students and connect with other breast cancer survivors, forming a support group on and off the mat. My goal is to continue to create a community where the relationship you have with yourself and your yoga practice can give you the inner strength to handle life\u2019s twists and turns.
