Michael was brought to yoga through his better half (our beloved Sonja Pfeiffer) and good friends. He began his practice a few years ago when vinyasa and hatha classes were being held in backyards and parks because of COVID-19. One of those backyards very quickly became his own and he immediately saw one benefit of yoga from the start: a group of like-minded but physically diverse individuals yoking, gathering, moving and breathing in unison to carefully guided and curated wording. No wonder yoga has been practiced since the bronze age!
In 2024 he embarked upon his learning and growth path with Soo Yoon and Abundant Path School of Yoga to seek a graduation certificate as a 200-hour instructor, and that physical journey coincided at Release Yoga Studio in Hillsdale, NJ. Michael is certified Yoga Alliance as a 200hr RYT.
Michael’s class attempts to create something for everyone, from beginner to expert, with options added along the way to create a unified, inclusive class. The class features pranayama more often than not and finishes with a relaxing savasana. The mood can be described as inviting, soulful, playful and groovy.
